Turkey Caprese Panini is a simple delicious and wholesome sandwich that is layered with flavor. Summer means sandwiches. Ingredients
2 Fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces
1 Fresh mozzarella ball packed in water, sliced
Black pepper
Kosher salt
10 Grape tomatoes, sliced in half
6 slices Deli turkey
2 slices Whole grain crusty bread, toasted

Heat panini press or grill top if using. Place bread on plate top with diced tomatoes.

Sprinkle tomatoes with salt, pepper and basil leaves. Top with sliced mozzarella and turkey. Finish with the second slice of bread.

Cut in enjoy if you want your sandwich cold. If you want it warm and the cheese a bit melty, add the sandwich to a panini press or grill pan and press down and cook over medium heat until just warmed through.

If using a girl pan lay a heavy pan on top of the sandwich 3-4 minutes, flip and grill another side with the pan on top.
