Tater Tot Chicken Pot Pie because admit it…The pie crust is boring. The whole family will love this spin on the traditional chicken pot pie recipe. Often times when used for things like chicken pot pie it ends up getting soggy (so I use puff pastry) and when used for a French silk pie it doesn’t have a chance of competing with the chocolate.
Ingredients
40-45 frozen tater tot crowns
1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. minced onion
1/4 cup milk
10 1/2 oz. can cream of chicken soup
2 cups mixed veggies corn, carrots, peas and green beans
2 cups cooked cubed chicken
Method
01
Add the chicken, veggies, soup, milk, onion, thyme, and pepper to a 10-inch round baking dish. Stir until combined. Spread out evenly.
02
Cover with tater tots.
03
Bake at 425℉ for 25-30 minutes, until the tater tots are golden and the chicken pot pie filling is hot and bubbling.
