This recipe is a hit with adults and kids. This is a recipe I’ve made in many variations over the years. My kids were super active when they were in grade school, and high school, so I had to learn to cook quick, delicious meals that made everyone happy. This one fits the bill. Everyone in our family loves this one!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups prepared rice

  • 2 tsp. sesame seeds

  • 1 1/2 cups carrots grated into thin strips

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce divided

  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing divided

  • 1 package grilled chicken

Method

  • 01
Cut chicken into bite-size pieces if desired. Place a wok, or pan, on the stove top and add 1/4 cup Italian dressing to it.
  • 02
Turn the heat to medium and bring the dressing to a bubble, then add the chicken. Cook just until the chicken warms up and starts to crisp on the edges.
  • 03
Toss in 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce. Cook while stirring until the chicken is coated completely. Scoop out and place in a large bowl.
  • 04
In the same wok or pan, add another 1/4 cup Italian dressing, toss the veggies in the pan and cook for about 7 to 10 minutes, or until the desired doneness. Remove and place in a clean bowl, off to one side of it.
  • 05
Pour the remaining 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce in the pan and cook for about 1 minute, just long enough to warm it up. Toss the chicken back in for 1 to 2 minutes, just long enough to warm it up.
  • 06
Scoop the chicken into the bowl you put the veggies in, off to the other side. Toss sesame seeds over top.
  • 07
Scoop the teriyaki chicken over warm prepared rice, if desired. You can substitute noodles or salad if you like. We love ours over rice, or plain. Serve with a big old chicken teriyaki loving smile!
