Kick up the spice with this scrumptious steak salad, full of fresh veggies and drizzled with a homemade cilantro-lime dressing! It’s the best steak salad I've EVER made (or eaten).
Served with dry roasted unsalted peanuts, this meal was absolutely mouthwatering. I don't cook Asian dishes often – I'm always trying to learn, and I think this was a step in the right direction! I can't wait to serve this the next time we have spice-loving friends over for a scrumptious dinner!
Ingredients
4 Red chilies
2 Green onions
1/2 cup Thinly sliced shallot
3 cups Total mixed fresh mint
1 tsp. Toasted rice powder
1 tsp. Sugar
2 tbsp. Fish sauce
2 tbsp. Fresh lime juice
Black pepper
10 oz. Beef sirloin
Method
01
Heat your grill to medium high or Combine the lime juice, fish sauce, sugar and toasted rice powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
02
Toss the mixed herbs/greens, shallot, green onions and red chilies in a bowl large enough to hold all the ingredients.
03
Season the beef liberally with black pepper (I like butcher's grind but go with what you like).
04
Grill the beef to medium rare (130℉).
05
Let the beef rest for 5 minutes. Slice against the grain.
06
Toss the beef in a clean bowl with the lime/fish sauce dressing.
07
Add the beef and any dressing to the bowl containing the salad and toss.
