Taco Lasagna

Frilly lasagna noodles are layered with Cheddar cheese and a meaty tomato sauce flavored with taco seasoning. Microwave this tasty casserole, and top with a crunchy layer of tortilla chips.

11 ounces lasagna noodles

1 pound lean ground beef

24 ounces tomato sauce

1/2 cup water

1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix

8 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add tomato sauce, water and taco seasoning. Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

In a 9x13 inch glass baking dish, layer noodles then meat mixture and cheese; repeat 2 more times.There will be 3 layers.

Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 10 minutes. Remove from microwave, uncover and let stand for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle tortilla chips over the top; serve.
