Serve these loaded burgers with plenty of napkins alongside. These burgers can also be prepared on an outdoor grill, adding a few minutes to the cooking time and turning the patties over halfway through the cooking time.

  • Burger Bomb Sauce for serving

  • Lettuce leaves, dill pickle slices and tomato slices for serving

  • 1 tsp. unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 hamburger buns, split

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese, each about 1 oz. (30 g)

  • 3 tsp. Ultimate Burger Seasoning

  • 1 1/2 lb. (750 g) ground beef, preferably ground chuck

Method

    Preheat a Breville panini press and grill on the sear setting. Put the meat in a bowl and mix in the burger seasoning. Divide the meat into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty.

    Place the burgers on the panini press and lower the top plate. Cook until medium-rare, 4 to 6 minutes, or to your desired doneness, raising the top plate and placing a slice of cheese on top of each burger during the last minute of cooking. Transfer to a platter.

    Brush the cut sides of the buns with butter. Place the buns, cut side down, on the panini press and cook until lightly toasted, about 1 minute. Place the burgers on the bottom buns and top with lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. Drizzle with sauce, cover with the top half of the buns and serve immediately.
