What You Need

1 cup each: cornmeal and flour

1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup fresh corn kernels

3/4 cup KRAFT Mexican Style Finely Shredded Taco Cheese

1/2 cup chopped red pepper

1 egg

1/4 cup butter , melted

1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and sugar in large bowl. Stir in corn, cheese and red pepper.

2. Beat egg in small bowl. Add butter and buttermilk; stir into corn mixture just until combined. Pour into greased 8-inch square baking pan.

3. Bake 25 to 30 min. or until light golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
